  At first I was shaking my head thinking it was completely inappropriate then as the baby starts looking exactly like my toddler as she looks at the camera and steals the food, then stumbles off the chair, yep I was pursing my lips holding back a smirk.

  Yeah, I am with everyone on the not walking under ladders thing. I did do it once when I was 10 (these things DO start young) and my cat was hit by a car the next day! I also pray to the Parking Angel. Does anyone else? If you really need a space and know you won't get one, pray to your angel and tell them who you are and where you want to park and say "please". I have done it three times, and I swear... it has always worked. I enjoyed this piece, thank you!

• National Handwriting Day

  Hmm.. have noticed that French people write alike. But last year our book group read "The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Society" which is essentially a story told through letters to and from a group of people during WW2. It made me realise how much I missed receiving mail that was personal so my best pal and I began a couple of weeks of writing letters (we live in the same city!) and it was really sweet. All died a death after a month.... as postage is dearer than a text! Good piece, thank you.

  Jean, I agree about the evolution of men. Just this morning I was having breakfast with two friends and the conversation turned to when did men loss the ability to talk on an emotional level to other men, whilst women kept doing it. A pal decided it was the hunter in him, whilst the women would chat over the fires by the cave entrance. Who knows, but it is true!

  You are so right. I actually have a card sitting by my laptop as I type. It is for a really good friend whose eight year old was in hosiptal for a heart op. It has sat here for two weeks. I was mortified at not sending it and so did nothing about it, but after reading your piece, I have just written it, and popped a letter to my friend inside. Thank you, Cindi.

• How Do You Put Your Bra On?

  I put it on upside down, inside out with clips to the front then twist around and put my arms through and cover my boobs. I have always wanted to hook my arms through and clip by reaching around. It looks far more elegant, but my mind appears not to work and I can't get my head around it - or my fingers.

  I am with DrunkMummy on this one. Also, I think if I brought up the subject that had caused the rift, just as he was about to "seal the deal" that it would actually bring about another huff from him and I doubt I would have the strength for round two.

  Isn't it great that writers on this site have no inhibitions. Thanks for sharing. I remember my first time, and saying to my boyfriend "It wasn't like I thought it would be." He asked what I thought it would be like and I replied "Like in the movies" - his reply? "What? Like in porno movies!" Romantic or what? But I actually thought your clothes fell off and fluttered to the ground, each other's underwear entwined! I now know you still have to yank your socks off beforehand!
