BIO
I never thought I'd write my biography, and so I don't know what to write, nor precisely where in my life to start. I suspect attempting to write this is not dissimilar to going to therapy.
I'm a Scottish lass, and having grown up in Edinburgh, spent my twenties in London, before returning to Edinburgh for my thirties. Other than the much discussed weather, I love it here. Being around people who have known me forever is good for my soul - other than those to whom I'm related - my friends help to heal what my family creates. Not that my family's so bad - we just bring out the worst in each other. I hope not to pass this gene on to my own children.
I have enjoyed mainstream and special needs teaching, and implementing staff training, but, having left my job in London, I am now a full time mum. This is a title with which I struggle.
I love writing children's stories, and enjoy storytelling. Stories are a fabulous medium for teaching, expressing, sharing, and learning. If only I could illustrate too then I would be truly happy - but I suspect that that is not a skill which I could learn.
I was delighted to discover PRG, which to me, is a fab wee outlet and a good read.
