BitchSlap Politics - America's fat politician

This video of Chris Christie (current Governor of NJ and Republican Presidential hopeful in 2016) on the David Letterman Show last night makes me uncomfortable -- not long-tailed cat in a room full of rockers uncomfortable -- so let's call it uneasy. He's still the "fat kid" who people make fun of and he's still using the comedy defense mechanism that probably got him through junior high and high school.

I think I would feel better, given the fact this guy's probably going to be running for President of the U.S. in 2016, if he ate fewer donuts and joked about it even less. Hey Governor Christie, how about hitting the treadmill and showing us you have the self-discipline to not only take your health seriously but that you might also be able to deal with a country and world bloated with too much obesity, violence, spending and hatred?

Just sayin'...

Um, yeah...... I am a democrat through and through, with no great love for Chris Christie, but I found this post mean-spirited and frankly, just wrong.

@Cari: Which is the mean-spritied part? Expecting a politician who reportedly wants to lead the free world one day to get his health in order? Or, pointing out that he is still using the same defense mechanisms that probably got him through adolescence? Really, I like the guy. I want him to run. I want him to win. He needs to stop joking and take his health issues seriously.

No matter what a douchebag Chris Christie may be, this is NOT ok. Fat-shaming is unacceptable. You don't like the guy. I get it. I agree with you. But please don't try to veil your dislike with bogus concerns about his health.

@pinnedxup: I do like the guy. And I think calling him a douchebag is far worse than acknowledging the FACT that he is grossly overweight.
